Price of Propane

I just filled my home propane tank and after converting pesos to Canadian dollars, the price was $0.83 Cdn. a litre.  The price yesterday in Canada, even with the new Carbon tax is $0.76 a Lt.

Crude oil futures selling in the $85 (US) range per barrel now, up from $62/barrel. It affects all petroleum products in one way or another and lead times vary depending on how it gets to the destination. The price of fuel is based on the the futures price.

Here in Florida I have watched the retail price of gas go from $2.88/gal to $ $3.56/gal in the last 6 months.

The exchange rate is also responsible for the appearance of high prices. The peso is quite strong right now.

I checked yesterday and it is 16.48 pesos to 1 US dollar. That would be 2 pesos less than the 18.5 we got in Oct 2022. Our dollars will not stretch as far by the time we get down there in Sept.
