There is a 2 step process here in Mexico, the degree and diploma is the first step. The second step is to get your attorney card or cedula and there are a few ways of doing this. I've chosen the option to be tested on 5 areas of law instead of doing the one big exam. I've done 4 of the 5 tests and in 3 weeks have the last test.

I'll pass on criminal law as most people who get themselves in messes don't have or don't spend their money and the criminal courts aren't that close by and things delay there, I was there 4 hours on a matter last week. I'll stick to real estate issues (no landlord tenant disputes).
