El Patio Restaurant - Tlaquepaque

Going back over 10+ years, the El Patio has always been one of our must stop places for lunch. The head waiter and two of his senior waiters have been there since our very first visit and they always recognize us each time we go. While we wouldn't claim that they have the best menu in Tlaquepaque, it is just one of those places that has become a comfort zone for us. We had drinks there shortly after arriving from the airport and lunch two other days. While they used to let customers smoke in the open air portion inside, it seems that they have tightened up in response to the law. On all three visits, we sat at their tables set up on Independencia where they do allow smoking. They prepare great margaritas and each visit, we were given their 2 for 1 special.
