SURPRISE - It Now Comes Out

For years the party line has been that the FBI, DEA and whatever other agents from the US working in Mexico were unarmed. Even the most gullible amongst us probably had our doubts and with good reason:

As everyone knows, Canada has very strict laws about importing and possessing firearms. Firearms can't be imported.

Do you think for one minute that all of those U.S. Secret Service agents that come to Canada with President Obama are carrying water guns on their belts or in their violin cases?

Yet strangely enough all the bad guys and gang members in Canada have the same firepower as any other city in the US or Mexico.

I am probably wrong about this but it seems to me that I read somewhere or heard somewhere that when the Secret Service travels with the President or some other government higher up, they carry Diplomatic Passports. By doing so, I guess they are immune from certain local laws?

From all that I have read, the FBI agents stationed in Mexico are assigned to either the Embassy in Mexico City or to the individual Consulates. Maybe the same applies?

Immune from prosecution maybe but not from obeying the law.
