New restaurant in Jocotopec

A friend just told me about this new restaurant. Have not tried it out but will:

El Quinto Sabor, a new restaurant in Jocotepec. Relatively upscale for Joco: a few noteworthy aspects: table linens, air conditioning, chefs wearing double-breasted chef jackets and toques, contemporary design (white decor, entire back wall is a waterfall, designer restrooms), separate bar area. Good menu-- the wife & I had French onion soup (35 pesos), shrimp in curry sauce (110 pesos), pescado empanada en coco (95 pesos), and wine (55 pesos). The young chef ejecutivo is Francisco Javier Morales Aldrete. El Quinto Sabor (387-763-1861) is located on Juarez Ote 21 at the corner of Hidalgo Sur, just one block north of the CFE intersection.

Remember too the other restaurants in Jocotepec. As other posters have noted, restaurants need our patronage or they won't be there for us:

Ruben's Grill. Ruben Varela, who made hundreds of Westender friends when he had his restaurant at the balneario in San Juan Cosala, recently relocated his restaurant from Ajijic to Jocotepec. He's located on the east side of Hidalgo Sur just a block above the CFE office.

China Inn. The only Chinese restaurant in Joco (to our knowledge). Eat in or take out. You know where it is!
