An acquaintance of mine who happens to live in Patzcuaro and has been writing a Mexican food blog since 2005. He makes no bones about his preference towards Mexican market and street food. In his latest blog posting (http://mexkitchen.blogspot.com/2012/09/you-cant-beat-gordita.html) about eating "gorditas" in Quiroga, Michoacan, he used the title term and it hit me as a future classic to define some attempts we all seem to experience in fine dining.

While it is too late for me to use this term in my TripAdvisor restaurant reviews from our trip, I will remember this term for future use!
