That is very cool Sparks. I can't imagine it travelling that fast so I guess this is time lapsed?

While I thought the thunderstorms were kind of neat, the Northern Lights were spectacular! But as rosie&sam asks: what does this have to do with Mexico? I guess we cannot spot Ajijic, the center of the Universe!

Thanks for sharing this. About 10 yrs ago I flew Ottawa to Vancouver after the Xmas hols. I had a window seat on the right side of the plane. The "Northern Lights" were happening. It was outstanding. At that height the lights seemed to curve around the horizon. My wife and I kept trading seats so we could watch the show. The cabin lights were dim. Most others were either asleep or locked into those tiny screens. We just kept watching one of the greatest shows on earth while sipping more wine. We'll never forget it.

one nite, while in the countryside, I had an opportunity to see ISS fly overhead.... a few times now actually...
it stays in sight about 4 or 5 minutes while it is still reflecting sunlite overhead until it reaches what would be terminator 25 miles high...
then just disappears
