Steak & Salmon

I want to take a couple of Girlfriends out for a good Steak (all cuts) and a good Salmon (prepared several ways). Where would you suggest?

Hacienda Ajijic Steak Place on Thursday for 99 peso meat special. A much larger, more tender and juicier Filet than Tango. Other good meat too, rib eye, arrachara, vacio and flap steak. Salmon is excellent too. The option is Bruno's for a Baseball Filet at 130 pesos or Ladies Filet (still good sized) at 110 pesos. Bruno's has rib eye and I think Arrachara. You CAN ask for No Pimienta on the Filet if you don't like all the cracked black pepper. I don't know if Bruno's has Salmon, but you could call. I believe they have a good Sea Bass.

Tango...by a country mile over Hacienda Don Pedro (I don't believe they have the Thurs. special on steak for $99.00 any more)

Second...Bruno's, but the baseball filet is $140.00 and the ladies filet is $120.00...no salmon

They still have the 99 pesos meat day on Thursday all day as of 2 weeks ago when Pedro was there. He offered a free first drink to everyone. Hacienda Ajijic has Sea Bass any way you want.

They have the 99 pesos seafood day all day on Wednesday. And they have Salmon.

Bruno's was 130 pesos a few months ago, maybe Vicky raised it.

Here's a real comparison:
Ajijic Tango - smallest steak in Ajijic - 110 pesos - no atmosphere - din so loud from other patrons that you cannot talk at the table - no parking

Hacienda Ajijic - Best and Largest Filet about same size as Bruno's, except you can choose three sauces - most tender and juicy - 99 pesos on thursday - nice atmosphere - murals on walls - new huge wine selection of about 100 bottles, largest in this area - no noise inside even from highway - plenty of parking

Bruno's........great steak; dubious ambiance
Tango's........good steak; noisy; attractive decor
Hacienda Ajijic: good steak; auditorium-like ambiance
Yves'.........good; sometimes great steak; view of the lake
Roberto's.....good steak (mostly); loads of ambiance with garden setting
Manix..........good steak but gawdhelpus when the noise starts

....and besides that, steak isn't good for you. Plenty of much healthier choices in nice settings.

The three of us eat very very little red meat. One person had mentioned that she was craving red meat and thought it would be a good idea for us all to have our red meat fix.

Good post, but what noise at Manix? It's always quiet when we go there.

I believe that's only upstairs after 7 PM because we always sit downstairs at 6 PM and don't leave until about 8:3-0.
