what is my next step with Seguro popular ?

I recently used Intercasa to enroll in Seguro Popular and also to obtain my I.D. card/medical record booklet. It was an extremely smooth process with them.

However, now I need to know what my next step should be. Do I need to schedule an appointment at the clinic witha doctor to open up a file and if so how much time do I have to do this.

I would appreciate hearing from those who heve actually gone through the process.

Actually I have asked at Intercasa and they seem to be unsure as to whether or not an appointment is necessary
