Polvito de Oro
This is a small jewellry shop just east of the first set of lights on the carretera on the mountainside. Does anyone have anything positive or negative to say about this shop? I took my earrings in to them to be repaired after waiting for three weeks for Daniel to repair them. Took them in Thursday and they will be ready Tuesday (hopefully) for half the price that Daniel was going to charge me.
I have other things that I need repaired and would like some feedback from you. I couldn't wait any longer on the earrings because the holes are gonna close up if I don't get them done soon.
Sorry for rambling. Stressed and ticked.

Re: Polvito de Oro
I picked up the earrings today, Tuesday, at 11 a.m.
Excellent repair job! Nice to have old faithfuls back in my lobes.
This is a family run business and has been in that location, in Ajijic, for about twenty years. Sylvia's father runs the one in Chapala. Colour me impressed.

Ferret, where is this shop? East of the first set of lights - coming from which direction?
Thanks for the recommendation, good to know.

Coming from West Ajijic on the highway...it is just after the first set of lights going east (towards Chapala) on the left.
The phone number doesn't seem to work and I don't know where the one in Chapala is located.

I've used them before and have been pleased with their prices and timeliness.

Does anyone know if this store is still around?

Sorry Shirley, they are no longer in the location that I used and I have no idea where they went.
I also need some things fixed if anyone has a choice other than David.
