We've enjoyed PF Chang's at Plaza Andares...wonder when the new store will open at Galarias?

I didn't know they were going to open one there. I don't care how "authentic" it is, I love their food.

Got the munchies HSH...or just halucinating? I love PF Changs too...around christmas we took the whole family out to Longhorns at Andreas mall (not my choice) I get up to stretch my legs , I wander over to the window , look down and oh mercy...PF Changs is right there. I could have cried.

My favorite at Andares is El AlmecĂ©n (not Chinese, of course), but the Outback there IMHO, is a total loser compared to the Outback at GalerĂas.
Chang's is good and so is Moshi Moshi, the Japonés restaurant and sushi chain. Lots of good little places up in the food court.
You should never leave hungry from Andares.

PF Chang's is a wannabee Chinese restaurant, totally pretentious and over priced. You should be very suspicious of any restaurant that does not post its prices online. We ate at one in California, outrageously priced and food on a 1 - 10 scale was 6. NEVER again. There are NO good Chinese restaurants in GDL.
We'll stick to going to Outback at Galerias Mall for good food and service.

Re: PF Chang's GDL
I ate at PF Chang's in Phoenix a few weeks ago. Very good food (they offer several different styles: Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.) and thought it was reasonably priced.
Re: PF Chang's GDL
There's a Sushi Factory at Galerias that I really like. NOT for the sushi, because it's the typical Mexicanized stuff (you know, cooked beef, lol). But they have some great teriyaki dishes that they must not realize are really good Japanese food... (edited with a low, deep bow to the food police)

Re: PF Chang's GDL
Teriyaki is Japanese.
I love PFChang's too, not only for the food but for their consideration in developing a gluten free menu. Only one in Guadalajara that I know of.
The waiter told us, more than a year ago, that there would be a new PFC in Plaza Galarias opening last July. Is there more information on this? Would the next person to eat there ask if they are still going to open in Galerias?

HelperGuy:
Could that be because Teriyaki has its origins in Japanese cooking and not Chinese?

Where is it located in Galerias? We used to love Ajijic Grille for their Teriyaki, until they doubled their prices and went out of business. Still wish they were here instead of Tango who took over their location.
CG - Yes it is, but I wasn't going to be the restaurant police. Do you remember Ajijic Grille?

Teriyaki is a style of Japanese cooking, not Chinese.

Re: PF Chang's GDL
Right you are. Should have also mentioned the ginger and crisped chicken Chinese-style dishes. In any case, the dishes are the best Asian-style food I've had in Mexico. Items are cooked individually, veggies are stir-fried perfectly, even the rice is right.Trailrunner wrote:Teriyaki is Japanese.
It's on the second floor, across from the Italian joint, and above the Outback.

Before Ajijic Grille, for many years, it was a very good restaurant, called Big Mama's. (No connection to Big Daddy or Li'l Mama... )

Re: PF Chang's GDL
The Sushi Factory(can't say it's real Japanese) in Galerias had been my favorite store of the 3 in Guadalajara, until they had a change over in chefs. I noticed changes in my usual plate in December, in January, after 2-3 visits, we were served raw chicken on an appetizer plate. My normal plate was no longer normal. After the last visit, I went as far as explaining to the manager that it WAS my favorite store but not anymore, and that we'd visit again in a few months to see if it'd improved. Haven't been back yet but apparently, they'd had a few chefs and that was the reason for the changes. Will definitely try it again.

They do have an online menu of sorts. Here's the ginger dish I really like. http://sushifactory.mx/menu/platillos#ginger
