How quickly they forget

Last summer bookings for our apartments really dropped off. It seemed the drug wars were taking a toll on visitors as inquiries slowed to a trickle, and of those who did inquire some would ask "Is it safe?" Well, that was then.

Now we are back to getting a flood of requests for the winter season and nary a mention of any safety concerns.

So, aren't you glad they forget so quickly?

not that it matters one way or the other...
it seems to me your summer bookings would be your " sweatbirds "
and your winter bookings might be your " snowbirds "

just saying is all... different demographic

There are snowbirds and rainbirds and heatbirds and gloombirds:

We couldn't find a place we liked during the winter months. We settled for the month of April in 2011.

Yes I am pleased they do forget so quickly and demographics aside this past summers inquiries and bookings were wayyyyyy off compared to summers past. Looking forward, if and when Mexico gets the positive press I think it deserves lakeside will experience a crush of visitors searching for their retirement paradise. I don't see how anyone other than the wealthy can afford a quality retirement north of the border.

Have you seen the tourism ads they've been putting on TV? Really good.
