A tour here was a first for both of us so early afternoon we stopped at the little bar "Arte en Juego" to ask for a suggested tour and to have a beer. That bar happened to be owned by Cofradia and the very cute bartender sold us two tickets (150 pesos) and called a van to pick us up.

The Cofradia distillery is on the edge of town where most of the larger ones are in town or on the highway. Cofradia is a boutique brand that is not mass marketed like the others. That generally means more expensive products but their tour is first class and very personal.

I went to the same distillery in Tequila a few months ago with two other gringas. We went from the plaza downtown on a bus provided by the distillery. The driver must have radioed ahead, because when the bus arrived there was an English-speaking employee waiting to take the three of us on a tour, while another guide took the Spanish-speaking visitors on the tour.

Very thoughtful and much more interesting being able to understand everything we were being told.

Has anyone tried the restaurant on the grounds? We made the mistake of eating before we went and then spotted the attractive restaurant. The Hotel Boutique la Cofradia on the premises gets good reviews on TripAdvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g775272-d1785221-Reviews-Hotel_Boutique_la_Cofradia-Tequila_Pacific_Coast.html

Neil, we ate in Tequila as well.....at the "food court" located a little ways off the plaza. that was a great place. it truly was like a food court in malls, but with huge servings of handmade, fresh mexican food at very low prices and lots and lots of choices of kitchens. (i live in Jocotepec, so when i say large servings at low prices, i really mean it!)

just don't dump salsa all over everything without trying a taste first! one of the salsas was muy picante!

Sparks:

If you are referring to the upload window staying open with the info from the previously posted photo, I have found that if you click on upload again it will clear itself so that you can do another photo.

I tried that. Once you COPY it's in your clipboard so I just refreshed but still a pain. If you don't have much text you can't scroll to Preview which will also get rid of it

Interesting, I have never experienced a problem scrolling to the preview option. Browser maybe?
