Better late than never....and I have enjoyed this thread immensely.

Come on Ferret, how 'bout Chris Isaak? I always liked the MTV unplugged version of Wicked Game. But it's your call...

It's 5:15 a.m....think I'll wait a bit before turning on speakers and checking out videos. :) All the windows are open to let in the cool air and it's blissfully quiet.
I chose the above video 'cuz I didn't like watching the Hollies perform it live...prefered my imagination. ;)

This video, again, doesn't feature Chris Isaak live. I've watched about 10 videos and find him to be robotic and lacking in emotion on stage. Perhaps that's why he never became the phenomenal star that he could have been. His voice is hauntingly beautiful though and I always wanted him to perform Marty Robbin's "El Paso".

I really enjoyed his TV show years ago on Showtime (??). Agree on El Paso as he has the voice for it.

Just my opinion anyway - I thought it sounded better - YMMV.

I would imagine it depends on what kind of speakers we each have. I have external speakers on my laptop. I know nothing about speakers but I like what I heard on my video...more depth, more vibrato. But, like I said, I only know what I like. YMMV.
The really neat thing about threads like this is that it sends you back into your own archived music and introduces new artists to you.
