I am thinking that perhaps Inside Lakeside could be a sponsor and our members here could donate 1 uniform each. How many players on a team? How much for 1 uniform complete with logo?

I counted 14 kids on the team on Saturday.

I will try to find out what the cost would be.

I am sure we could get 14 members to pitch in if the cost is reasonable. Then we could go out and cheer on our Inside Lakeside team. Maybe we could challenge Crapola.com to sponsor another team in the same division and get a rivalry going.

If you really want to raise money in this town build a baseball dunk tank. With Don Pedro the Magnificent on deck - you could raise Multiple $$$

Chillin had a brilliant idea - a dunk tank! I know nothing about building one, but there are quite a few plans online. I am sure I could persuade the delegado (Hector) to let us have it on the plaza. And there would be no shortage of village personalities (I would make sure of that!) to sit in the tank. Sounds ambitious, but as Chillin says, you would make $$$s. Anyone have any ideas?

I wouldnta mentioned your name without knowing you would be a good sport about it. Did I mention the detail that for 100 peso donation, spectators can add a bag of ice to the water (most don't know of your polar bear powers).

Irish Gal, thank you for your support. You can give the money to ZenWoodle on this forum (not sure how you would do that) or you can come along to the soccer field, meet the kids and make your donation there. I am there on Mon, Tues and Fridays (ask for Phil). Or come to the game on Saturday. A soccer school in Guad has heard about our unbeaten record, and are coming down on Saturday for a game - we don't know the time yet, but will post it when I find out (hopefully tomorrow). The FaceBook group 'Union Ajijic' has all the details.
