We had a smooth trip, taking our time to drive up, we took 5 days, no hurry. We have been extremely busy. We contacted a Realtor and had our wish list laid out for him. He took us to 6 properties in one day, many looked good, but not up to our liking. I had done research before driving up. We took the Realtor to the new development we were interested in, looked over the new house and bought a house in 2 days and added all the extras we wanted. A 4 BR, 3 BA house, guest bedroom for me downstairs, 3 BR up, brick front, wood floors, SS appliances, and on and on and on. We just picked out the wood floors, carpet and bathroom tile today.

The street signs, highways and even side roads are great. Lots of nearby shopping malls and stripn malls where you can get anything you want, And REAL grocery stores too that have selection and fresher fruits than anything in Mexico. We've been eating corn on the cob too!! So that's it for now. Hope you're all well and getting some badly needed rain.

We're renting an apt in Charlotte while our house is being built. It is suppoed to be ready by mid November, that's if the rain doesn't hold them back. Believe it or not it's a gated apt community, but that's not why we chose it.
