We made this trip twice over the past 8 weeks and the blockade for auto's is now a non issue. They are letting auto's thru while continuing the blockade for 18 Wheelers. Delay is a couple minutes at most.....safe travel to all!

To put it succinctly.....
It's the Yaqui indigenous people blockade of hiway 15, north of Ciudad Obregon, Sonora over a dispute with the Federal Government about water rights.
Vicam is the closest pueblo.
