Joco Driver's Lic Office?

IS there a Transito office in Joco to renew a Jalisco Driver's License?
If so, where?

The Chapala office STILL says they cannot issue or renew licenses "system is not working" (for how many months now??)

I'd prefer to not have to go to GDL, but if so can anyone suggest which office to use?

No office in Joco. You need to go to Guadalajara.

Has anyone been through the process of getting a license in GDL? Where is the office? Tips for going through the process? Do you need your own vehicle for the driving test? Do you need a translator in GDL?

I would like to get a Jalisco license, but don't want to go all the way to GDL without all I need. (I assume I need the standard CURP, proof of residence, blood type, resident card, etc... but am not sure where to go or if there are things specific to the GDL office.

Is there a reason that the OP couldn't do it in Chapala?

I've read/heard that the Chapala office is not issuing or renewing licenses at this time... thus Guadalajara is the closest place for that.
