Hands free car kits for cellphone

Am thinking of buying a Motorola Pro hands free cell phone kit for a friend who desperately needs it in their non-transformer car (ie: an actual car that does not transform into a cell phone on demand). I did a little googling and it came up with a Motorola Pro as the top pick, but I am open to alternate suggestions if you have direct experience. Anyone out there that has tried these contraptions and can provide informed critique?
I see they are available via eBay but wondered also if anyone happened to see these locally? Thanks much
