Insurance premium increase

Just received the quotes for my policy renewal. The premium with GNP increased by almost 10%.
The other quotes were either the same or higher. No claims, no tickets, and usually the premium has dropped.
Anyone else have this problem recently? It may be time to shop around.

Zen, is that for US Plated or Mexico?

Car's worth less a year later. Collision/replacement premium should not be more, or at least not much, all other things being equal. In theory, anyway. Time to shop around, I guess.

Often prices are raised because the companies know you have no second choice; almost like food, you must (legally) have insurance, so what's your other choice.

I have auto insurance with Bellon. For the past 2 years my premiums have been lower each year as the car gets older.
