Check TelCel balances

Besides calling *333 from your TelCel cell phone... you can enter *133# and press your call button. You will receive a text message with your balance and expiration date. It's in Spanish (naturally) but very easy to understand.

There is also an option to change the language to English, or they will do it for you at the office.

Thanks so much, Oatsie. I've gone in there & asked how to do it & they never told me, just checked for me & sold me more minutes. I think I'll do a test & check it, then go in & ask what my balance is.

I hope you are going to the TelCel store in the corner behind the casino and not the one on the side of the Service Road, at the rear of the little coffee shop... run by Sandra....

After you call *333 all you have to do is push # after they start speaking and it should change it to English. It will ask you to confirm that you want the language in English and it will stay that way until you change it back. (it might be ##?)

The TelCel store next to the Casino is the one to go to. The other one................well.

Did a little test today. Went to my usual Telcel store behind the bakery after checking my balance which was 187 pesos. Asked her for my balance & she said 17 pesos. I told her that was odd since it was 187 a couple of minutes ago. She started madly punching buttons on my phone and saying "I wonder why it said that before." I just took the phone out of her hand & left. She's made a goodly sum out of me since I got that phone.

But never again will she be able to rip you off. Good for you Carry Bean. Didn't that feel good? Lizzy

You got it, Liz. I had asked before if there was a way I could check my balances & got the runaround which did make me suspicious. While at the Gallerias my Spanish didn't get me understood at the Telcel booth there when I asked how so I'm very grateful to Oatsie.
