Pasta Trenta

Great new pasta restaurant on Constitution, 2 doors east of Bar El Cameleon in central Ajijic. They have about 30 different pasta dishes. A must try for you pasta lovers.

Ate there Friday night after the Naked Stage. It was better than excellent.

Note, main dishes are all pasta so if you are a carnivore it might not be for you.

Also note, they have only about 12-16 chairs and it is very tight. Make a reservation. If you are more than 4 you may have difficulty.

We wanted the Manicotta for desert but to take home, they wrapped the glasses in plastic and asked us to drop them back when we could. How is that for service!

We were there again last night. Our guests were thoroughly impressed.

Eaten there a few times. Excellent food and service.

Went by a couple of times... couldn't get in.... must be good... :D

Maybe they take reservations.

I also could not get in, and they were tooo busy for me to take out for home eating in my garden

I have been in Bar El Cameleon (next door) and had them deliver there. They come back to pick up the dishes and collect the bill.

They do take reservations, and the food is worth planning for. Ab fab!

Are they open for lunch?

Yes, open for lunch.

1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.....closed Thurs.
I think they might open earlier on weekends for breakfast.

My wife and I shared a fettuccine dish with mushrooms, chicken, garlic, and tomato sauce.  Was excellent.  Their address is Constitucion 33A (near Corona), phone 376-766-1121.

Very pleased with Pasta Trenta. Great service along with delicious pasta and sauces. They are only a block from my office which is a very good thing and a not so good thing!!!

Wow, it that the place with all the cigarette smoke? Not a pleasant place to eat, I would think.

I don't know about the Chameleon's policy, but I think it was Tom's Bar (now closed) which defied the "no smoking" regulations, and probably smelled foul.

I am talking about the bar on the corner - we went in there with guests one evening and cigarette smoke was so heavy we had to leave - and we are pretty tolerant - smoking, obnoxious pets, etc. are okay to a certain point.

It must be the Chameleon, then.  Tom's was in the middle of the block.
Never been in there, but I'm surprised if they are holdouts on the "no smoking" ban.  Anyone know?
