Are you thinking of Jim W? He has a sticky at the top of this Medical Forum and is now living in the States. It would be nice if anyone has heard from him to let us know that he's OK.

I have not heard of him, or his wife, in about a year.

That's an excellent link Gadost! I have copied it and will be sharing. The one thing that I wish they would go into more detail about is the "sleep" aspect. It has been my experience that it helps sleep but only if you're suffering from anxiety and stress... then it is calming and you will be able to sleep. If, however, you take it within six hours of going to sleep then you will find it too stimulating. My mantra is CBD for daytime (last dose at 3 or 4 pm) and THC for nighttime.
What is your experience with this aspect?

You can get CBD here but the source is unknown, the production is unknown, the concentration is unknown and the quality is unknown... and it sure as hell isn't tested by a third party lab.

CBD oil: Indica is still considered to be more sedating and relaxing...vs sativa.

True and I know it. The question in the last few posts has been about CBD which is made from HEMP and has, therefore, almost non detectable traces of THC. There are actually very few Marijuana strains that meet that criteria.

Thank you. I just ordered the day/night package. I need to get off the anti-inflammatories I have been taking for a long time. Bursitis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, anxiety…..they can't figure it out......lol. It's worth a shot.

Yes, drink less, alcohol causes a multi-system destruction derby. Alcohol and antiinflams will eat a hole or two in your guts.

Most definitely worth a shot even though CBD is not recommended for night use since it can be stimulating all by itself. Okay if your inability to sleep is caused by stress or anxiety but not if you have a sleep disorder and the quality of your sleep is the problem. My preference is CBD from HEMP during the day because there's virtually no chance of THC in it and a landrace Indica concentrated oil (1/2 grain of rice under the tongue) just before bed. The two Indica's I have tried which completely eliminated the cataplexy and gave me deep restful sleep are Afghani and Hindu Kush. The one I tried that was half CBD/half THC didn't quite do the trick for the sleep and the cataplexy but killed the aches and pains (just a half a grain of rice worth before bed). https://healer.com/how-can-i-best-use-cannabis-for-insomnia/

My only problem with sleep is my aches and pains. Sometimes it's in my hips, sometimes my shoulders and sometimes both. Getting out of bed is a struggle. After I get moving it gets better. It has only become a real annoyance in the past 6 months or so.

Then I would try the CBD only during the daytime and it should take care of the pain. Do not take it after 6 pm. I have had skiing accidents which caused both of my shoulders to freeze; iliac joint disfunction since I was twelve, and now "drilling" pain in my knees and arms. The little I was taking did the trick for me and I hope that it helps you too.

Yeah I hear ya. I have had several serious motorcycle and waterski wipe outs. Not many bones I haven't broken including a kneecap....lol.

You should go to Guadalajara and get a bone density test done CBob. I've never broken a bone and when I had the test done when I was 45, they told me to come back when I was a 110. I've been yanked off my feet and fallen hard four times in the past three years by my dog Ginny. I bend, bruise and get shaken up but I don't break. I'm, uh, kinda dense.

Well I haven't broken anything in 30 years. Believe me I got off lucky with some of the motorcycle accidents.

So. A Mexican friend of mine just got back from walking the long peregrinación to Talpa. She has done it several times. This time she brought some oil to take at night before bed. She said normally she can barely walk in the morning when she gets up after the days hike but this time she woke up refreshed and pain-free from the first morning.

How cool is that.
