Double pane windows

I tried searching the archives here but all the results were for Windows computer issues. Are double pane windows used in construction/remodel projects Lakeside? These are good for some noise reduction as well as the insulating aspect.

Never seen a double pane window here.

I thought I saw some double paned windows at Home Depot.

Yep....I have been searching Home Depot Mexico and they show them. If so, it seems they would be available in Guadalajara. Tried searching the inventory to one of the Guad. stores but the search function is a little clunky. Thanks.

Yes Home Depot has them, I bought one for my office and it makes a huge difference, the window on the street has no noise.

Thanks for the links. We remodeled our home here in California several years ago with them and it made a tremendous difference in blocking street noise, barking dogs, etc. I have been following the thread about "Why people leave" and noise is prominent on the list so double pane windows should help. The other advantage is that they are very strong and hard to break which could add to security.
