Chapala Airport Hwy. Road Collaspe

Anyone have any info on this road failure today???

I came back last night from the airport and did not see any problems. Where is this location ???
I used the off site parking and noted that prices have increased to 1.19 per day

Used to be $99 pesos so I think they mean $119 pesos per day.

So, just where was this road collapse? The OP said Chapala Airport, that's the road to Mazamitla. The first reply refers to the GDL airport. Where was it?

what does that have to do with the road collapse?

There are protests/concerns about the water supply in certain areas of the Municipio of Poncitlan which could be the road being talked about.  The protests at the GDL Airport is an entirely different matter in an entirely different area.

Boy, lots of misinformation here. No problems on the Chapala-Mezcala Carreterra on which the Chapala airport is located. It is also not a public or municipal airport but is a privately owned airport.

So, I wonder where the problem, if there really was one, actually was.

It and everyone on it disappeared, never to be seen or heard from again.

Maybe on the bypass that goes from the GDL airport over and up to the Periferico along the east side of Tonala?  If so, would not surprise me - a very poorly constructed road.

Maybe helohfe could shed light on the "road failure" at this point since none of us can physically find it?

It came to my attention via a post on Facebook, I now presume what they mis-quoted was a reference to the blockages occurring at the airport. Sorry for all the confusion as I was only attempting to gain additional information from what was posted on Facebook. It sure did stir up a pile of posts.

If it originated on  Facebook, that should have been the last word.
