Help - no telephone

Good Morning everyone,
I have a bit of a problem and actually a puzzle to me. I have no dial tone, my phone says check phone line. I do, however, have Vonage and internet. Now, I believed if the phone line was out, so was everything else. I have put a hardline phone on the phone outlet, no dial tone. Tried Vonage, dial tone. As is obvious, I have internet connection over the same line, everything is connected to that line. Just no local phone service. I am so puzzled, anyone have any ideas, solutions, whatever?

While the internet and phone service operate over the same line, they are processed separately at the phone company. It is apparent that the trouble is not your line, so it must be at the phone company. You need to call them.

Thanks, it just came back, all of a sudden, the phone rang. Who knows, only the Shadow, hehehe.

Along with the Shadow there was "Mr Keene, tracer of lost persons." Or was it "Mr Trace, keener than most persons.?"
