A group of us went for lunch and everything was great including food, prices and service. Business is slow now so please give them your support. They are west of Ajijic on the lake side.

It's one of my favorite places: food fresh, healthy and well prepared. Nice people.
Yesterday, we had breakfast there: Delicious, well stuffed Denver Omelets with home fries and beans (don't order the hash browns). Three eggs. 75 pesos.
We also had a giant fruit plate to share: 40 pesos. Excellent strong coffee and good iced tea with endless refills.
We like to eat inside to get away from the road noise, and the chairs are very comfortable.
Highly recommended.

Nope, still feminine.

Sorry maestro, but when the first syllable of a noun is stressed and begins with an "A", you have to use "El".  If plural, you go back to "Las Anclas"
The gender of the noun doesn´t change…..you just can´t have two stressed "A" sounds back to back.
The same rule applies to "agua" but not "alBERca".
While we are on lessons or lessions?, no letra K in proper Spanish except for the metric system.

When the "Wild Geese" fled Ireland to go to Spain many years ago, the Kennedys became Quennedys.  Still some around the country.

We have been doing a kitchen remodel on the house we are leasing here and have had to eat out quite a bit unfortunately. La Ancla is only 12 topes away from our house and we have eaten there 3 times in the last week I believe. The molcajete is really delicious and if you have not tried it you definitely should. I have a ceasar salad every time I go there and they make it in the traditional manner with service table side. The people that work there are very gracious and make you feel so much at home:-)

It is clearly on their sign: El Ancla.

We usually have lunch there once or twice a week. The salmon is extra good: flaky and perfectly prepared. A great sinful dish is their Chick Cordon Bleu; made from scratch and such a generous portion that I always take at least half home.
Highly recommended it, regardless of how you want to spell it! Beer

lol! It doesn´t!  Just a little play for your imagination.  That visual is for people who are illiterate, so everyone can find the restaurant.

Surprise !!! :lol!:

I don't think you are understanding what Slainte said.  They are spelling it correctly. It is the same as "agua".  It's el agua but las aguas.  Feminine nouns that begin with a stressed "a-" or "ha-" sound in Spanish use the definite article "el" in the singular.

I understand what he said. I pointed out the spelling, according to the restaurant spelling it. What's the problem?
