Has there been a recent update that would affect reception in this area?

There are supposed to be a number of channel updates starting again this week, and I know up north many people got their whole channel lists changed. But it hasn't hit me yet (although I am waiting for CBC news to finally go HD as of today). However, it won't affect your "reception".

Thanks CG. I turned it on this morning and all the channels were changed. Works like usual just new channels.

Wouldn't it be nice and customer friendly if a channel that you were watching (that has now gone blank because it's been moved) had a message that told you where it is now located?

Actually, if you select one of the "This channel is now only in HD" items in the onscreen guide, you will get a slowly... very slowly... rotating list of channel re-assignments.

That's painful. When we had Shaw, I set up the channels that we watched under the equivalent of "favourites". Scrolling through channels is not my idea of a fun time. Tedious at best. Even the old fashioned paper TV guide and Shaw magazine worked better imho.
