I sure hope people start flying again soon or we will be left with few airlines at astronomical costs. It will put the airline industry back 50 years.

I guess the $400 or so those bastards wouldn't refund me wasn't enough.

Sounds like pretty treacherous terms! I believe Aeromexico had previously filed for bankruptcy a couple of years ago.

Not sure about that but Mexicana went bankrupt a few years ago.

I recently read something in the news about Aeroméxico concentrating their efforts on domestic travel. My friend in California had her upcoming flight with them to DF canceled, they said they’re not flying to the US anymore, she asked if it was because of covid and they said no. Could it be? Anybody know if they’ve stopped flying to and from the US?

Did not your friend's conversation with them verify that?

???  My Aeromexico flight in November from GDL to LAX has not been cancelled, and they have many other flights to the US available on their website between now and then from both GDL and MEX.

They don't usually cancel until a week or so before. If they don't have enough people on the flight then they cancel it.

The contract you signed said that they must refund your money if they cancel the flight.  They cancelled many flights and yet no one I know has had money returned.  Friend took it to consumer bureau and has a hearing in sept.  Not sure how going broke affects. Maybe not if cancelled before they went broke maybe this is all wasted time.  It would not irritate me so much except for the fact they don't accept email and make it very hard to contract them on phone.  Not sure we will use them again and not sure we want to fly anywhere withing the time period they offered.  If they would have let us have more flexibility in picking new tickets over a longer time I wouldn't be so miffed.  Will let site know how hearing goes. It is called fraud folks to violate the contract and I really don't care about the company as they could have done better.

I flew AeroMexico to/from the States two weeks ago. I am scheduled to do so again in November.
