Texas Governor Opens Everything Up

As of tomorrow.... 3/3.... Texas will no longer have any restrictions vis a vie Covid. No masks, no distancing and more importantly NOTHING is off limits. Everything can be 100% opened. Everything. No limits on capacity... anywhere.

In his statement that I heard/saw he said Texans should practice good sense. I thought that to be ironic after hearing his announcement.

Mississippi and some other(s) states did something similar.   Time will tell I guess. Stay tuned for 2+ weeks out.

I was in Texas in October and there was a lot of bitchin' about wearing a mask and the usual "Chinese Hoax" nonsense. Drove back in February and a lot more mask wearers and a lot more Texans telling me about the members of their families who have had Covid and/or died from Covid. These were the same Texans who told me what a big hoax it was in October. Funny how Thanksgiving and Christmas changed the landscape.

Like Mike Tyson says "Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

Got my second Pfizer dose today. The best view of Texas for me will be in my rear view mirror at the Colombia Solidarity International Bridge tomorrow. Adios.

It's too soon to lift mask wearing and social distancing. Why on earth would you undo the good that has been achieved.

I see where Beto is going to run against Abbott for governor in 2 years. Maybe things will change. Abbott due to the energy shortage is very unpopular at the moment.

Abbott didn't disconnect from the grid in other states. It happened 90 years ago. So its his fault. Comical.

Whoever is in charge gets the blame. His new maskless/no distancing policy is far more egregious, in my estimation.

The one thing you can be sure of is that Republicans have an extraordinarily short memory span. By 2022, all will be forgiven and forgotten. Sad.

Texans don't want the Federal Government "interfering". Maybe they should be left to deal with hurricanes on their own as well.

I can understand opening things up, but ditching the masks and social distancing should not have been a part of it. There is not enough people vaccinated yet for that. We are open in Florida, but masks and social distancing are still mandated and I think that is prudent.

Florida never had a mask mandate. Localities did and do, but the idiot Gov. DeSantis refused to issue state-wide.
