Paying Customs Duty at GDL

I'm flying into GDL in a couple of days carrying some network gear that I should probably declare. About $1k USD worth.

What's the most expedient way to handle this? This webpage, http://omawww.sat.gob.mx/BienvenidoaMexico/Paginas/respaldo/alpasarporlaaduana_eng.html, states, "For this purpose, you must fill out the form Foreign Trade Tax Payment or the simplified online form Federal Tax Payment. You may pay at any authorized bank or treasurer’s office, either in cash or with credit or debit card."

I've not found an online copy of the "Foreign Trade Tax Payment" or the "simplified online form Federal Tax Payment" page.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Or, I could take my chances when I hit the button and play dumb if it's red...

Just declare it on the Aduana form you need before clearing customs.  They'll do the math.

A friend's nephew played dumb about a year ago on a business trip. Ended up with very high valuations being imposed on which the IVA was calculated, plus a few items were denied entry.

His colleagues had told him to declare items with current (low) values, but he chose to gamble.
