Recommendation for small appliances Lakeside, specifically a toaster with a wide mouth space for toasting bolillos. Had an Oster, but it went kaput, and cannot be repaired.  Tio Sam´s, maybe?

I know you asked for local recommendations, but when we outfitted our kitchen in 2017 after traipsing around Lakeside, we found the best selection by far at www.amazon.com.mx

I don't think Tio Sam's has small appliances. Check Walmart, Soriana, Coppel, etc.

I also think Amazon Mexico is the best choice and I always read the reviews. Painless shopping. Toaster selection is here...

Here's one I can definitely help with, except it's from Amazon.com.mx. Took 4 days to get here. A Cuisinart that makes proper toast. I researched over and over, as every toaster I bought would favour one side of the bread or the other. Even the toasters with digital display for exact timing were all the same, until I discovered this, which makes the toast even on both sides whether one or two slices, has a pair of large openings for bagels, can defrost, and even has a setting to reheat your toast without toasting it again.

I'll never figure out why a device that's designed to do one thing only just can't do it properly over so many models. Evenly-cooked toast on both sides. Imagine.

My Breville toaster oven also makes perfect toast, but I;n sure it takes a lot more electricity.

Yes, but can it burn in an image of the Virgen de Guadalupe on every slice?
