Emission Testing

Has anyone had any issues with driving into Guadalajara without the emission sticker or temporary pass? The enforcement does not apply until 2022. Thank you.

I and friends have gone back and forth to Costco on Lopez Mateos several times in October and November, no issues.

And, to quell others concerns of miss information, the Emission Testing program does NOT include those of us with foreign plated cars (ie, US states and Canadian provinces)....

Like most of these sorts of programs in Mexico, compliance and enforcement will be a joke. Many, many Mexicans cannot afford registration or insurance let alone get their cars "tested" for emissions. Just another money grab from those that can afford......IMO.

The enforcement of the emission testing is now in effect as of 2022.

Has anyone experienced any issues in the new year, or is this whole issue just a tempest in a teapot?

Has anyone done the emission testing on their own? If so, what was the process? Thank you.
