mothers' day

i do believe that it's mothers' day in the USA today (may 9). while i don't have a phone and so won't get "the" phone call from my son, i was reminded of my favorite salute to mothers. in the immortal words of coach bear bryant on an AT&T/Bell South ad: "have you called your mama today?" gotta love him!

Happy Mother's Day Lucky - and to all the other mamas at Lakeside. Lucky, it's too bad you don't have a phone to receive that call. I'm in beautiful southern California right now in order to spend the day with my 93 year old mom. I will be heading back soon afterward. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

well, demonio, you're not missing too much here lakeside. it's hot and hazy....typical may weather. but still SO much better than lots of places i've lived (i.e. the everglades, death valley)!

and, of course, the phrase from bear bryant should have been "have you called YO mama today?" ja ja ja ja.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms here. I'm not one & mine died in 1960 but I miss her to this day.

Es cierto Solovino, pero no todos estamos en México al momento. Lucky comento que era Dia de las Madres en EE.UU. y que no puede recibir una llamada de su hijo porque no tiene teléfono. Le diese un feliz dia de buena onda.
