Reminder not to leave anything visible in your car

Walking up Ramona Corona to the plaza in Ajijic I saw 3 separate piles of window glass on the sidewalk which indicates that at least 3 vehicles had their side windows smashed last night. Be aware. They will smash your window if they see anything at all. Sunglasses, phone holders, etc.

I would never park my car on a public street after dark. Even if you hide stuff from sight, crooks may **think** there's something of value under a seat or under a floor mat.

We have been parking our van on the street for 11 years with nary a problem. In my experience I have learned that if they don't see anything they will leave it alone, but they will smash the window for a few pesos in a cup holder......
