Shaw direct lost signal

Anyone not having a signal New Year’s Day?

Back on.

Remember that it was announced, maybe two months ago, that Shaw Direct is transferring all of its channels to a new Satellite that is better able to focus its signal over Canada with less bleed-over across their borders, making it near impossible to pick up any of its signals in Mexico. I say near impossible because of what a techie said with a smile on his face. He mentioned that a 30- or 40-foot satellite dish might work,

As of late yesterday afternoon..... I can't receive ANY signal from SHAW.  Anyone else getting reception ?

Time to deep six Shaw and go with the streaming services. I gave them up about 5 years ago and have no regrets. Prime, Netflix and YouTube TV will get you just about everything you need. Of course there is also countless IPTV services, but you need to be a bit tech savvy and prepare for some occasional outages as many of them are pirating the channels they offer.
