I checked a RT flight to San Diego in April I have already booked and paid for that cost me $276. The same flight now with the "discount" is $285. If you don't activate the "discount" they have jacked the fare for that same ticket up to over $400.

At least for this particular ticket, nothing but promotional BS.

That has to be one of the more asinine comments I have seen lately! We used to fly R/T Portland, OR/Guadalajara for under $200 USD too but what does that have to do with today's airfares which change by the week. Only way to make a fair comparison is by checking fares on every other airline on the same day for exactly the same travel period.

Do airfares double in a couple of weeks? Not on this route which I fly regularly. Now if you compare with the other airlines that fly GDL to CA you will see no such artificial doubling of seat prices coupled to a faux discount.

I like Volaris and we are using them twice in the next two months. But a gimmick is a gimmick and there's nothing asinine about pointing that out.

We loved our experience flying Volaris. Reminds me of what the US Airlines were 15-20 years ago. Great for flying across Mexico.
