Big Daddy's Sausage

Post by CanuckBob on Sat Mar 31, 2012 11:19 am

If you are into smoked meats and sausages you have to try some of Big Daddy's homemade sausages. I bought some at the Ajijic tianguis the other day and I must say it is the best sausage I have ever tried. He has 10 or so different types that include chicken, beef or pork. We tried the Jalapeno Chicken. Cooked them on the BBQ. Outstanding.

Bought some chicken and apple sausages a couple of weeks ago and they are in the freezer. I love that he has "tasters" in front of each kind of sausage that he has for sale. Marketing bliss!

We just bought 3 packages at El Torito. Has anyone seen them in Chapala?

Jalapeno and cheddar, chicken jalapeno and spicy italian. I don't think they had the full selection there. We'll try the jalapeno and cheddar tomorrow.

Dawg has found Big Daddy´s sausages purchased at a grocery in West Ajijic to be somewhat vapid and bland. Methinks these sausages are designed for unadventuras traditional Canadian palates favored among some hereabouts who have historically equated seal blubber with high cuisine . Perhaps Big Daddy could spice up his sausages packaging some as muy fuerte for those among his potential clientele seeking more robust flavors than those sought by denizens of the Frozen Tundra raised on Tim Horton´s 20 minute coffee and poutine.

Wow! Dawg... You are a piece of work. A good smoked sausage on a bun is just a little bit of comfort food to us. We enjoy a variety of foods and we can honestly say that Tim Hortons has never been a stop for us. If we were in the market for a good smoked sausage anywhere Lakeside what would you suggest? We're willing to try it.

I am new to this forum and just wanted to leave my 2 cents worth about big Daddys sausage. We found it to be great tasting considering there are so many different varieties. We really liked the smoked flavor. sure beats the Johnsonville sh*t that is out there.

We may as well take a vote. Big Daddy's vs. Dawg food.
