No, but how about getting on the cleanup so you will have an inkling of how frigging frustrating it is to deal with this crap. You can either be part of the problem or part of the solution. There are probably fewer that 5 members who cause 95% of the problems so you tell me what you would do.........

HOCKS: Disagree...the Octagon is catagorized, one of which is "want to pick a fight..." Solo & John obviously have dislike for each other, but we don't need it in a forum like this. Like they tell you in the bar, "take it out to the parking lot boys"..and leave the rest of the patrons in peace. They can go to the octagon & kick each others heads in, but why should the rest of us be forced to wade thru their crap? I'm no prude, but the use of the F word here is irratating &just shows ignorance.

Just click on the "view posts since last visit" and only read the ones you want to read. If they are in the "so you wanna fight area" then pass on by. Most of the crime and political discussions, which are in the Octagon, end up in warfare. That's just a fact of these types of discussions and the reason those categories are also under the Octagon. If one is looking for "politically correct" polite discussions then Chapala.com is definitely the best place for them to be.

I am amazed I have to tell you this.........but all you have to do is start a new thread in the Octagon and carry on with whatever you choose or better yet let someone have their own opinion about something and say nothing. Either way it's your call.

PS Solo might come off as a grouchy sob sometimes but he knows more about Mexico than the rest of the members combined,a lost asset to this forum IMO

Looks to me like you're doing it... Set down the rules & enforce them (1) No swearing outside the Octagon (2) No personal attacks outside the Octagon....Argue opinions here, but if you want to shoot the messenger, better be sure you're in the Octagon.

Also, everybody needs to understand that this is not a democracy...The moderator is the dictator. Fortunatly, "Craven" is a benevolent one...I've been on other ones down here where the mod was a total control freak Nazi-type.

PS: If you don't get "Craven", you obviously missed the board meeting.

CB, the problem here is that you are a young stud despite the chrome dome and hence tend to drive too fast and scare the old people. Notice I didn't accuse you of scaring the Mexicans, they can definitely hold their own in the speed and "no fear" departments.

And John, when I met you at the gathering you seemed like a really nice and soft spoken person who could express himself very well without the rough stuff. Why not do the same here?

Chris, the rules are very few and simple. No attacks or profanity outside the Octagon area. Obviously we let it slide a bit once in a while but lately it is way out of control. You obviously don't like John and seem to attack every thing he posts, good or bad. CG is right in there with you. Try ignoring him.

John is guilty of posting really stupid things that bring out the worst in people and if he continues he will be the next to go and he won't be coming back. I have had enough.

As far as Solo is concerned, if you had seen the PM he sent me you would understand my decision. He is a chickenshit who hides behind a screen name.
