Desperate Dog Needs New Home

I am posting this for someone who sent it to me - there was a photo attached but don't know how to get it here:

This is a last-resort to find a forever home for Honey. She is a beautiful, but smallish, purebred Golden Retriever, spayed female, only about 1 1/2 yrs. Very sweet, kind and trusting. Extremely athletic, would be a blue-ribbon winner in dogopogo- agility course work. Also a fantastic watchdog- she never makes a peep until she detects a noise outside the wall at night, and is able to discern between a human walking and an animal.

However- she has had a few strikes against her and now she is something of a hard-luck case and will need someone who has infinite patience to train her, housebreak her and to deal with her perpetual moving ways. This dog needs a large, secure yard as she is on the move all the time. If she doesn't get adequate attention she will dig. Not everyone's favorite vice, for sure. I realize this will be a tough placement.

If she goes to a shelter, she will be there a long time in a small pen where she will become more neurotic and become totally unadoptable, whereas she will end up there for life, which is no life. The only option if she doesn't find her human soulmate, is to be put to sleep. Ideally, she needs a dog-whisperer type of owner who has the ability to deal with training her and the patience to see it through, and to be kept mostly outdoors with a warm, dry shelter.

Time is running out for her and if the perfect placement isn't found before August, she will be euthanized.

Thanks for the photo Bob. I think the owner has some huge personal problems and I am posting everywhere to find this dog a home. I know there is a huge supply of dogs here but if you know of someone, please pass on the phone number of the owner.
