Services for Gil Silverman

Anybody know if there are going to be (or already were) services for Gil? I believe he passed a couple of days ago.
Appreciate any info.

You might call the LCS office. There may be a memorial service held there since he had been active so long.

I posted the question on TOB and Shira replied: There was a funeral service held on Thursday at the cemetary. That is it. It would be nice if LCS did somethiing for all his years of service, includiing stepping in to protect the presid nt of LCS when he was atacked and getting beaten up for his effort.

And this was my comment : One of his health problems was from when he took a punch from a jerk who tried to hit the then president of LCS. The least they owe him for his many years of service is a memorial service. If they want volunteers they can at least remember those who served a long time like Gil did.

I totally agree and I do remember that incident. So, what say LCS, stand up and do the right thing.

As a side note, we do not belong to LCS after they got greedy and raised their membership fees. We never used their services and don't think much of LCS anyways.
