Missing Man

I have been asked to post this for someone:

Ron Lloyd Mackintosh. Last seen Sunday, October 21 on Calle Gomez Farias in Melaque where he dropped off a friend. He was on his way home to Barra de Navidad. He drives a black 2008 Jeep Patriot, License plate# 506CNT (British Columbia). His live in girl friend reported him missing to the police Monday. He was last seen Sunday around 5:15 PM in Melaque, where he dropped a friend off on his way home to Barra de Navidad. He never arrived home. He had his dog with him and his cell phone. The Canadian Consulate has been notified. Friends have checked hospitals, jails, etc. No clothes or luggage missing.

OMG! please please let him and his dog be safe.

I do not know if this is the same man, but I got a call 2 days ago to see if I could foster a dog because its owner who was driving a jeep had been in a bad accident and was in the hospital in Guad with a broken neck and head injuries. The person who called me said the girlfriend would collect the dog when she found out what had happened with her boyfriend. Another person did take the dog to foster for the time being. You might trying calling Red Cross or the hospitals in Guad. I hope your friend is OK.

nope. the man in the hospital in guad is trevor cates from el chante and alberta. he is still in icu with a fractured skull and broken neck.

It's been 6 days now since Ron has disappeared. Still no news....

Does anyone have an update on Trevor? We know him, too. I didn't realize that his injuries were THAT serious.

he is now in a body and neck brace which he will have to wear for 2-3 months. people are taking turns visiting him. he's a mess, elke, but improving with a little help from his friends.

the surgeons have now determined that surgery will be required in several of the C vertebrae. his father is now here and has trevor's cell phone.

Please clarify: is Trevor Cates the missing man?

Do we know what happened to him?

Is there anything we can do to assist him? (Whether the same man or not)

But, in any event, what happened to Trevor Cates and is there anything we can do to assist him?

Yes, the police are apparently looking for him and Canadian government is involved. The story has been broadcast by the Canadian news media.

That is a scary story, how can a jeep, a man and a dog disappear without a trace within that short distance. Is there any chance he left the area without telling anyone? No matter what it is awful for those who do not know what happened to him.

This scary. I wish the best for all during these difficult times and hope that all turns out well for everyone.

The Canadian news report had a link to my original post on this forum and I have subsequently received a few e-mails from friends of his in BC. Unfortunately I know nothing about the investigation and haven't been able to tell them anymore than they already know. Hopefully he didn't drive his vehicle off the road somewhere.

Hopefully he didn't visit "la zona" here on his way home with very attractive black jeep. Don't know the guy well enough to judge his sensibility or drug/alcohol use. He's either escaping his past or did something real stupid on the way

Apparently he disappeared somewhere in the 4 kms between the friend's house that he dropped off and his house. I've been told they have scoured the route looking for any clues or cars off the road etc.

Somebody said how could this happen? Really??? My friend Larry Allen has been 'missing' since Jan 7th!

And there were tons of leads in the Larry Allen case...Did his ex-partner ever show up in town again? That was a very strange story.

Trevor is going to have a long recovery period...maybe that is when he will need the most help.

There is no secret hiding place between Melaque and Barra. I assume he met the wrong folks (without heading home) with his attractive vehicle ... or he is just off on a jaunt in the country side
