There is no secret hiding place between Melaque and Barra. I assume he met the wrong folks (without heading home) with his attractive vehicle ... or he is just off on a jaunt in the country side

So has there been any new news about this guy, or has he returned from a walkabout?

This just posted on TomZap - Melaque

I was just asked to post that Ron's body was found. It appears that he was the victim of a robbery. The police have three in custody.

I was thinking that rather than getting into details, maybe those that knew Ron could post wonderful memories of him for his friends and family up north on this thread.

It is a sad ending, my thoughts exactly that he looked like a nice guy....little dog in his lap, nice smile...What a terrible shame.

Very, very sad. Condolences to his friends and family.

Another black eye for Mexico in the Canadian media.

Just awful, and imagine the mess the Canadian yellow journalists will make out of this.

Condolences to his friends and family. Very sad.

I too would like to add my condolences to his friends at the beach and to his family in Canada. It's a sad sad state of affairs.

Good heavens Bob, they didn't even move slightly in the direction of sensationalism. That's gotta be a first for the Canuck press.

Yeah the printed part is not too bad however they did dredge up some history. The video portion is far more sensationalized. Have a look at that too if you haven't already.
