So downstairs there is a car like the Federales drive, dark blue with police bumper and 2 plainclothes guys standing guard at entrance. I am wondering who they are protecting. Is it a politician? I'll ask the guard tomorrow but would be fun to guess. Someone important is my neighbor.

Lots of private security guards/drivers in Mexico - they are often negotiated as a condition of employment. There are autobody companies which specialize in bulletproofing cars too. $80 million a year spent on this!

Last night someone shot a window out of a city bus in Puerto Vallarta - it was full of passengers and just missed a five year old boy. They figure it was a .38 or larger.
