Big Daddy - the band of 59 Empty Big Daddy - the band of 59

Ran across these guys again. They were trapped behind enemy lines in Vietnam for many years, they had their own style of music, and adapted it to the songs they were hearing over the radio. JA ja! Actually, I believe at least a couple of them are executives in Rhino Records. They issued a new album in 2012, raising money on those venture capital websites.

Not seriously - they say they were on a USO tour, and then were captured Very Happy

Richard Cheese is another act like this. He does lounge singer versions.

Missed Frankie Dino... The Big Daddy story about Vietnam was, of course, concocted to explain why they do everything 50's style. Years ago I bought their masterpiece, a complete 50's rendition of Sgt. Pepper's. Big Daddy - the band of 59 SGTPepper1
