Are there many facilities for a game lakeside way?

There is a seedy bar in Chapala, but even I (known for poor judgement) wouldn't frequent it.

Poll and billiards are very popular in Mexico. There are many pool halls and bars with pool tables in the Lakeside area. Some of these places are seedy...and some ain't. A number of us who know each other from this board have a weekly game at a very nice, clean pool hall in Chapala.

Mexicans tend to play "ultima bola," which is similar to what we call "final pocket" in the U.S. But they also play "ocho derecho" or "straight eight."

there is a pool table at Johhnys Mamas Bar that is free to play and a lot of players there right down the street from Mail boxes r us near Superlake
