Secure Place to Overnight in Saltillo

We will be travelling north next week and our vehicle will be full.  We are hoping to get as far as Saltillo and stop for the night.  Can anyone recommend a safe motel/hotel to stay at where our vehicle will be secure.  Are there any of those hot sheet motels with the garage doors that come down on Highway 57 without having to go into the city.  The name of one and exact location would really be appreciated.

Yes there is. It is called Suites Villamagna. We have stayed there many times. It's on the Saltillo-Monterrey highway 54D (also is highway 40) near the northern industrial area of Saltillo. It's easiest to get to if you enter Saltillo from the north of town on the Carretera. You will pass the motel by on the left (because you can't make a left turn in front of it). You have to pass it up by a mile or so until you can make a u-turn to go back to it (u-turn will be right at a statute of a man on a horse, pretty high up in the median of the Carretera).

The place is VERY secure with drop down electric garage doors. They charge like 400 pesos for 6-hours. But if you check in after 4:00 and tell them you're traveling from Lake Chapala, they will let you have a room until 7:00 the next morning for 500 pesos. Be sure you don't check in over a weekend (Fri-Sat-Sun). They won't offer the deal. They don't speak any English, be prepared for that.

Nice little oasis, secure, quiet, reasonable, pool, nice grounds, nice people, and still quick in and out. Pet friendly too.
