Gas tank guage

I am moving into a property that has the propane tank on the roof. I would like to run a filler line from it to the exterior at the street. Also I would like to have guage at the same area to tell how much is left instead of climbing up on the roof.

Is there anyone who does this?

Any reputable plumber, which many have been reccommended on this board.

But gas gauges, are not "accurate".
So, do not push the lower limit.   

Filler yes but the gauge is mechanical and sealed so if available it would have to be retrofitted unless you
want to put a cheap camera on the gauge and run it into the house for example. Never seen a remote gas gauge do they exist?

My contractor told me you can get a digital gauge. The sensor screws into the spot on the tank where the regular gauge goes, then you run a wire to wherever you want to mount the digital read-out screen.

Please ask the contractor where I can get it. Or if he can do it for me?

That was over a year ago and I haven't seen him since. I'll try to get a hold of him.
