Re: Hypothetical question on gun ownership in Mex
Do you have to show your gun permit to buy ammo? I read somewhere that one can only buy ammo for the type of gun he owns. True?

Re: Hypothetical question on gun ownership in Mex
If I have a properly registered pistol or rifle and want to take it to somewhere for target practice, how can I get a permit to take it out?
Can the "somewhere" be to a friend's ranch? Or does it have to be to a commercial shooting range?

I don't know the answer to that one. Gun club members have transport permits so they can transport their gun to/from the gun club or a competition, however homeowners do not. It's all a bit catch-22. I'm not totally clear on the ammo purchase either. Again gun club members have ammo purchase permits that align with their gun permits. I asked my friend, "how do I get ammo?" He said, "you have me buy it for you."

How about Shotguns?
Maybe a Winchester Defender!! Cut er down to 16" full choke... OOBuckshot...
a crowd pleaser with real stopping power...
And very forgiving... just point in the general direction...
Asailant would be ready cut, ready for packaging...
Great for those with vision impairment... less aiming involved
( of course intended target might be the maid dusting the credenza )
I'll take two!!

Commonly called a "triple Tap" vs " double tap. A technique popularized by British SAS and adopted by " American" special forces. The 2 to the body cavity shocks and immobilizes the third to the head kills. The body cavity shots are first since it is the larger target.
Don't shoot for knees unless you want to support a crippled " Mexican" for the rest of your life.
Stun an intruder with a ball bat, then run out the door to get help.
It really is a hassle to kill people in Latin America if'n you are a gringo, avoid it at all costs, you losing your TV and laptop would be cheap by comparison
