These are great pictures. They also serve to remind us of two things:

1. The Lake can get too high.
2. Wouldn't you love to go to that old train station and catch a train to Chapala Centro?

I'll admit I love trains. I could spend the rest of my life just riding them.

I love the way they have remodeled the Chapala Train Station. I understand that they also have a beautiful toy train setup installed, given to the train station by the family of a collector from up north who has sadly past on.

I understand that Sandra Loridans had a great deal to do with the reconditioning of the old train station.

Try a different browser, Gravy. The link works fine.

finally got it ....... love the Chapala gazebo and the pier under water  ....there was a picture in the city hall around 2001 that showed a wonderful side paddle wheeler at the pier being boarded by men with "skimmers" and the ladies with parasols ...wish I could get a copy .... neat ship.

wouldn't it be nice to have the lake that high again ? ..and clean

Some great inspirations here for amateur artists to use the photos as reference and then "colorize" with oils, acrylic or water color. If anybody needs help with the technique, send me an email and I can give you some pointers.
